Portland Simple Syrup Brown Syrup

This is the simple syrup that's actually anything but. We blend brown sugar with farm direct organic cane sugar to create a syrup with real depth - molasses warmth, sugarcane brightness, and a richer body than your standard 1:1. It's the kind of sweetness that actually adds something to a drink instead of just making it sweeter. 

Stir half an ounce into bourbon and bitters and you've made an old fashion with built-in caramel depth. Splash it into iced coffee for a less sweet, more interesting twist on the on the standard syrup. Mix it with whiskey and lemon for a sour with character. Or drizzle over oatmeal for breakfast indulgence.
